     On the outside, our lives appear fulfilled, serene, even happy. But if we were honest with ourselves, we’d have to admit that there is a big difference between who we are on the inside and how we appear on the outside. What causes this great divide? The “lies that bind,” fallacies we believe about God, ourselves, and others. In this series, women learn how to discern – and replace – these lies with the truth of God’s Word. They discover how to become what God already sees them to be in Christ: Daughters of Freedom.

     This session addresses the places of captivity we often get lost in. We identify the three forms of captivity in Psalm 107: “iron chains,” “gates of bronze,” and “bars of iron.” Then we discover the key truths God speaks into our lives to deliver us from being prisoners to fear, self-hatred, and condemnation.
