"HeartHunger:
Finding the Love of Your Life in Christ
"

    Every teen girl has them: soul-seated longings which God has designed and placed within her. The problem is that most girls distrust their longings as wrong or dismiss them as impossible. But in HeartHunger they will not only discover which of their desires are God-given and good, but how to follow their hearts’ hunger to Jesus Christ, the lover of their souls.

"Discovering the Desire of Your Heart"                            (Romans 8:15-17)
    Most girls know that “God is love.” But very few truly believe that God loves them. Looking at the Father through the lense of earthly experience, they see Him as only able to love them when they perform to His expectations. But what if God has loved them “with an everlasting love” (Jeremiah 31:3)? What if He would exchange their fear for His tender acceptance? What if the “fairy tale” is true that they can find true love that lasts “happily ever after”? This talks helps girls open their hearts to the One who knows them best and loves them most.

"HeartHunger: Settling for Substitutes"                           (Colossians 2:6-10)
    If we are in union with Jesus, we are participants as the Bride of Christ in the greatest wedding story of all time. But many Christian girls have fallen out of love with their Bridegroom. For a variety of reasons, their affections have cooled and their first love has been lost. In short, they have become a runaway bride. In this session listeners will discover the three ways that they have become sidelined in their journey toward intimacy with the Savior. They will learn how to repent of accepting substitutes in Jesus’ place. Finally, they will discover the strategic ways that their soul hunger can propel them toward their hearts’ true destination: participation as a radiant bride in a royal wedding with our Bridegroom Jesus Christ.

"HeartHaven: Finding Your Soul Mate"
(Romans 3: 21-24
)

    We know that Christ died for our sins, but often do not understand how that has changed forever how God views us. In union with Christ, girls can take off the false garments which reflect how they think God sees them: the Cape of Capability and the Rags of Rejection. Instead they can receive a wedding garment which Christ alone gives: the Robe of Righteousness (Isaiah 61:10). The good news of the gospel is that in justifying them, the Father not only removed the stain of their sin, but also covered them with the glorious perfection of His Son. They need never again fall prey to the “Lie of the Special Case” in which they believe “God can forgive everyone else’s sin, but not mine.” This teaching helps girls once and for all to receive the completed work of Christ on the cross for themselves.  As they do so, they enter HeartHaven and begin to take steps of faith down the aisle toward their Bridegroom, for “there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1).

"HeartSong: Discovering Your Purpose"                           (2 Corinthians 3: 12-18)
    Why do so many of us wear masks? Hide from God? Self-sabotage God’s destiny for us? Because we don’t yet believe that Jesus Christ loves us as we are and has a plan to redeem all of us – even our sinful pasts. In HeartHaven our Bridegroom lifts the veil that obscures our identity and purpose – and breathes a unique HeartSong into us by His Spirit, a song the world is dying to hear. This song reflects our unique place and purpose as God’s princess bride in “such a time as this.” Following the three ongoing steps this passage suggests, girls will realize their hearts’ ultimate desire: to be fully known and fully loved. In the Bridegroom’s presence they will also face what they have most feared and discover as they do so that “their mess is their message,” that God wants to transform their trash into beautiful treasures of grace to bless others.
